The 3rd Annual Lima Bean Fest
Find out why we were the Lima Bean Capital of the World for decades. Pick up a copy of one of two books written on the subject. Participate in a lima bean tasting contest. Cast your vote for your favorite lima bean chili, lima bean soup, lima bean hummus or a lima bean cookie. Purchase a commemorative poster; witness a bean thresher demo. Hear Frankie and the Lima Bean perform some nuggets from the past while the kids keep busy with lima bean related crafts. Tour the site and see the lates changes to our 1869 winery building and 1870 farmhouse. View a lima bean history slide show in our library. Play a game of lima bean toss. Check out our lima bean displays and don’t leave without purchasing some locally grown lima beans complete with Deb’s Lima Bean Trinity recipe.

After last year’s smashing success, we are definitely back! This year we welcome Milo and the Lima Beans playing their favorite tunes We 4 restaurants participating the Lima Bean tasting contest: Adolfo Grill, BGs Cafe, Spanish Hills Club and last years winner, Twisted Oak Tavern. We’ll also offer 2lb bags of beans for sale; plus Jeff’s 2nd book on lima bean history - Central and Southern California Lima Beans; plus our 2nd Annual commemorative poster painted by Laura Jesperson; plus another lima bean slide show; plus lima bean facts on the hour; plus a lima bean-bag toss; plus a lima bean thresher demonstration… and more.
